It's never too late to join the UCL Union Debating Society. Membership costs only 6 quid and this gives you access to:
Free wine at selected debates
Free or heavily subsidised entry into Inter-Varsity competitive debates (entry normally costs up to 50 pounds)
Heavily subsidised entry into the Foundation Dinner
Free training at our debating and public speaking workshops
In addition, the money we raise from selling membership helps the society function properly - your money is not wasted. It's actually a bargain!
To Join:
You must be a registered student at UCL and member of UCL Union.
Go to the Clubs and Societies Centre Reception on the 2nd floor (that's the 3rd floor if you're American...) of the
Bloomsbury Theatre Building, with your UCL ID card and fill in a form. The process takes a few minutes, and you can pay by cash or cheque
(or even by card if during Joining Fortnight).
